Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trek Itinerary

Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trek is the popular trekking to the holiest mountain of Nepal. The amazing view of the Ganesh Himal with the cultural features following all the way in the trekking trails will be the surprising and interesting. This is the trek that passes through the tranquil nature with the less number of trekkers participation.   • Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International airport (1345 m). Overnight stay at Hotel.
    Namaste!  Massif Holidays representative welcomes you at the airport, transfers to the hotel by private transportation and then the short brief about the entire trip.

  • Day 02: Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Overnight stay at Hotel.
    This day you will be introduced with your tour and trekking guide and complete some formalities before starting sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. You will visit four popular places in Kathmandu Valley - Monkey Temple – Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath.

  • Day 03: Drive to Arkhet Bazaar (620 m). About 8 hours. Overnight stay at Hotel.
    Early in the morning, a team member of Massif Holidays will pick you up at your hotel and drive to the local bus park. We can arrange the 4WD jeep upon your request. We will start our journey with blacktop road till Dhading Besi and again three-hour rough road to Arkhet Bazaar where we spend the night.

  • Day 04: Trek to Lapu Beshi (884 m). About 6 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    Today, we will be heading towards LapuBeshi - the beautiful settled village following the bank of Budi Gandaki, crossing through suspension bridge and other small villages take to LapuBeshi. During this day hike, you can experience the traditional lifestyle of various ethnic groups.

  • Day 05: Trek to Machhakhola (869 m). About 6 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    The trail descends until you climb towards Lading village. After this village we walk through the thick forest and finally reach in Riden Gaon the valley passes into another side of Budi Gandaki to Lambesi. From Lambesi, the trail follows down to the river bed of Budi Gandaki, Machhakhola.

  • Day 06: Trek to Dovan (1070 m). About 5 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    Today we pass through Machhakhola River and Khrola Besi, there is a natural hot spring called Tatopani. We spend a few minutes there and follow the trails into the forest, then finally reaches to Dovan. As the elevation increases, the scenery undergoes a complete transformation which will be interesting for you to observe.

  • Day 07: Trek to Philim (1570 m) from Dovan. About 5 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    Today, the trail continues to Jagat, a good stones village, and then trek up to the valley of Sirdabas, offering great views of the Sringi Himal. We then drop down to the river, cross a long suspension bridge and climb steeply up to Philim.

  • Day 08: Trek to Lokpa (2240 m). About 5 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    Early in the morning, we will be heading towards Lokpa via Eklebhatti. This day passing through rhododendron forest and observing the great view of mountains along with this encountering with rare species of flora and fauna will be interesting. After 5 hours of a day hike, we reach Lokpa.

  • Day 09: Trek to Chumling (3230 m). About 6 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    After having the great day at Lokpa, we follow the trail to Chumling. Sidewalk to Sarli Khola, panoramic view of mountains and the alpine forest will take to Chumling after 6 hours of a day hike.

  • Day 10: Rest for acclimatization & Exploring in the Valley. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    This day you will be provided with rest time for avoiding the altitude sickness. You can explore in and around Chumling (observing picturesque view, taking photos, witnessing lifestyle of local people, exploring Chumchet Gumba – Buddhist Temple).

  • Day 11: Trek to Domje (2460 m). About 5 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    After exploring around Chumling, this way walking with the mesmerizing views of mountains like Manaslu and Ganesh Himal and crossing through Domje bridge the trail offers with two different routes – Towards Tsum Valley and towards Ganesh Himal Base Camp.

  • Day 12: Trek to Gumba Lungdang (3200 m). About 6 hours. Overnight stay at Gumba.
    Early in the morning, the trek continues following a ascend route to Gumba Lungdang. This will be an interesting day for us as we will be stepping nearer to Ganesh Himal Base Camp and also exploration at Buddhist Gumba Lungdang.

  • Day 13: Trek to Ganesh Himal Base Camp and exploration. Trek Back to Gumba Lungdang. About 6 hours. Overnight stay at Gumba.
    With the packed lunch, early in the morning, we will be heading towards the base of Ganesh Himal for having the stunning view of the sunrise with a breathtaking view of great Yongra (Ganesh Himal I), Ganesh Himal II, III, IV, V and many more. We will trek back to Gumba Lundgang.

  • Day 14: Trek down to Ripchet (2470 m). About 7 hours. Overnight stay at Homestay.
    This day, we will be walking all the way descends to Ripchet. We will be taking the different route than that of the following trail to Chumling. From Ripchet you can also have beautiful views of mountains. After around 7 hours we reach Ripchet.

  • Day 15: Trek down to Phillim. About 7 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House.
    Continuing our trek, descend towards Phillim from Ripchet will offering with some of the great views of massifs and also you can experience the traditional lifestyle of local people in Phillim. You are provided with laundry and showering service in Phillim.

  • Day 16: Trek down to Tatopani (990 m). About 7 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House. 
    Today, Following the trail along with Budi Gandaki, a descend walk all the way to Tatopani will be an amazing day as passing through several villages where you can witness the traditional lifestyle of local people. Tatopani will be reached after around 7 hours of day hike which will be the last spot from where you can observe Sringri Himal and can have a relaxing hot spring bath.

  • Day 17: Trek down to Soti Khola (700 m). About 7 hours. Overnight stay at Tea House. 
    Today we walk along the Budi Gandaki River. We pass the several villages to reach the Soti Khola. After crossing through the beautiful village of LapuBeshi a further more descend walk will take to Soti Khola. We have overnight today nears the confluence of Seti River – an ideal place where you can take a fresh water bath in the river.

  • Day 18: Drive back to Kathmandu from Soti Khola. About 8 hours. Overnight stay at Hotel.
    Today, the scenic drive back to Kathmandu passing through different natural treasures in the local bus or in your requested transportation. You will be taken for a farewell dinner at a typical Nepalese restaurant with a cultural show in the evening.
