Ghorepani Poonhill and Bardia National Park - thank you for an awesome trip!

We had an amazing 16 day visit to Nepal, organised by Massif Holidays. The whole experience was very personalized and I feel like we got to see the best of this country because of Bijay and his team. Our last few holidays have been booked with UK based tour operators , and I was a bit nervous about doing something different, but Bijay made the whole experience really simple and no request or change was too much trouble. After the initial contact we did most of our communicating and organizing via WhatsApp. That made everything very convenient and quick. I will definitely return to Nepal and will book with Massif Holidays again. Lovely people comma amazing scenery and fantastic food. We spent half our trip trekking in the north (Ghorepani Poonhill) and half in Bardia National Park in the south. The whole experience was personalised to suit my requirements. They built a package to suit my love of mountains and my boyfriends love of animals and it worked perfectly. The overall cost of the trip was a surprise as well - much less than I expected and incredible value for the level of service which we received. Our base accommodation in Kathmandu was lovely and perfect for exploring this complex and,at first, slightly intimidating city which we eventually grew to love. While trekking and in Bardia the accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable. The food was always brilliant and the people always very welcoming. You'll have to get used to the electricity jumping on and off. I think it did me some good to live without Wi-Fi for a while though.... somehow, despite this our hosts always found a way to get the World Cup on television. We travelled slightly out of season, but the weather in the north was still amazing and the trials were much quieter. The grass in Bardia was too long to see the tigers unfortunately, but we did see lots of other animals and the expertise of the guides more than made up for this. Special mention must go to our trekking guide Hari (pictured below with our mega fit porter/trainee guide), who was fantastic company and somehow managed to negotiate the different walking paces of myself and my partner which normally leads to bickering!
